Has been a very ever so busy couple of weeks, firstly I was contacted by Leslie Wilson-Rutterford at Dandy lion Markets in Highgate, as she had seen an image I submitted to Access Art, Leslie was very lovely and asked me to bring some stuff to sell at her jubilee market on the 9th of June in Highgate from 12.30-17.00, so I thought I had better do something about all the images, I have been accruing and get some cards made, I chose ColourGraphics in Bath as they are local and I thought I’d a) need to go there cos my indesign skills are not the best and b)support local businesses, they have been brilliant and have an amazing 24 hr lead time, I spent hours looking for boxes to sell cards in packs of 5, and paper sleeves for boxes, I bought envelopes and researched a thousand other things, I saw my tutor at Bath Spa Uni, who suggested contacting card shops in Bath which I did but my costs are to high as I can only afford small runs, so it looks like Folksy for the rest of the cards, (ideas welcome) she also suggested making cushions, so have researched all that, (deep breath) I might be going to NewDesigners as well! I have had a response from the really helpful copyright people at IPO and having read the huge document attached, I think its ok to make things with fabric and then sell pictures of it,e.g. quilts, but am not 100% certain and would like to be……. I still haven’t got a bank account or a website, so am writing lists of lists of lists and am totally wired…….Yesterday I had a lovely message from Matt and Charlotte Inwood who have initiated me in the scary world of twitter and plugged my blog, for which I am hugely grateful, Everyone has been so jolly lovely I am lost for words, (I usually only do cynical, sarcastic and facetious so my grateful vocab is limited)
So a Vast Huge and slightly frazzled, emotional Thanks to everyone for getting me off my day dreaming butt, and getting me properly started…………..
